Where children become confident, capable, and independent young leaders—through challenge, mentorship, and real-world learning.
Apogee Boise exists to help children develop into confident, capable, and independent young leaders through learner-driven education, real-world experiences, movement, mentorship, and strong community.
We believe children thrive when they are challenged, trusted with responsibility, encouraged to think critically, and given opportunities to actively participate in their learning.
Four principles that shape every interaction, every project, and every day at Apogee Boise.
We encourage students to communicate clearly, think independently, take initiative, and lead with integrity.
Children develop self-direction, accountability, and ownership over their learning and personal growth.
We foster meaningful relationships between students, families, and mentors in a collaborative and supportive environment.
We believe learning should inspire exploration, creativity, resilience, and a lifelong desire to grow.

Apogee Boise is led by founder Miesha Tate and coach Shaine Jaime—a team that blends elite athletic experience, real classroom expertise, and a shared belief in mentorship over rigid instruction. Together, they create an environment where students are known individually, challenged appropriately, and supported consistently.
Shaine Jaime brings a powerful blend of high-level athletic achievement, proven coaching experience, and a deep passion for developing young people to Apogee Boise.
As a coach, Shaine has led teams to four 4A state wrestling titles and a state championship in track, while also spending six years coaching at the collegiate wrestling level. His impact goes far beyond wins—he is committed to building discipline, resilience, and confidence in every student he works with.
As an athlete, Shaine was a state champion wrestler at Wapato High School and a four-time state placer. He went on to become a two-time NCAA Division I All-American in wrestling, and he has also competed as a professional mixed martial artist.
Shaine's background in education is equally strong. He holds a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies, has spent six years substitute teaching on the Yakima Indian Reservation, and taught high school history for eight years.
With both classroom experience and elite coaching credentials, Shaine is dedicated to helping students grow academically, physically, and personally.
After becoming a mother, Miesha Tate began searching for an educational environment that aligned more closely with the values she wanted for her children: independence, resilience, leadership, physical wellness, and curiosity-driven learning.
Like many parents, she saw challenges within traditional education models, including excessive screen time, standardized pacing, and limited opportunities for individualized growth.
Apogee Boise was created to provide families in the Boise area with an alternative learning environment where children are encouraged to move, explore, communicate, build confidence, and develop practical life skills alongside academics.
